UC&D 2014 Outstanding Tenant Improvement Project
Design team: AE URBIA, CCG Howells, Roundhouse Agency
Contractor: Robinson Brothers Construction
Pluralsight desired a space with an open design that fosters creativity and provides a high level of retention, with different spaces of varying sizes for employees to work and collaborate together. The new office was constructed on the second level of an existing new building shell with stairs and an elevator that were intended to be enclosed, which contradicted the design concept. By applying for code exceptions, the stairs and elevator had the option of being left open. A timeless look was also achieved by installing a new painted brick veneer to the inside face of exterior walls and utilizing reclaimed wood. Raised access flooring for electrical systems and moveable wall systems are integral to the facility’s flexibility.
