This innovative and exciting children’s museum at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi provides visitors of all ages a place for interactive learning. As design developed, five main areas of exploration presented themselves, with each having a driving principal and realm of exploration. A unifying element of the architecture is called ‘The Hub’. This is the center of the museum and initially accessed from the entry lobby by a true cable suspension bridge. The hub is illuminated by slowly changing color L-E-D lights, has nooks for sitting and playing, and each archway hints at what experience is beyond. The floor design is a compass rose using themes from each exhibit.
